George Van Dyke purchased his first truck in 1969 to transport hay for the family dairy farm in Corvallis, Oregon. With a desire to focus only on trucking, in 1972 George began hauling lumber, veneer and plywood throughout Western Oregon & Washington.

The company has slowly but steadily grown, over the years adding equipment and additional coverage area as needed.To better serve customer needs, a brokerage, Van Dyke Transportation Co. was added in 1998.
